Stephens, a prosecutor for 26 years, has served as Monroe County Attorney for 22 years. He is seeking another term to continue his work protecting the citizens of Monroe County and upholding the rule of law. As a staunch conservative Republican, Stephens has built his career on the principles of personal responsibility, public safety, and fiscal accountability.

"I've spent my career fighting for the people of Monroe County, and I'm not done yet," said Stephens. "This office requires experience, judgment, and a commitment to conservative principles. I'm running to keep delivering results for our community."

During his tenure, Stephens has built a record of results. He serves on the Drug Court Supervisory team, attending all meetings to help combat substance abuse in the community. Under his leadership, the County Attorney's office dramatically improved child support collection rates after Monroe County ranked last in the state. He serves as a trusted legal advisor to the Fiscal Court and all county boards, and remains available to local law enforcement 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

"Monroe County deserves a County Attorney who shares their conservative values," Stephens said. "Voters know my record, they know where I stand, and they know I'll keep fighting for them."

Stephens and his wife Loralee Cole Stephens have been married for 33 years. Their daughter, Shelby Spencer, is an attorney at Polsinelli Law Firm in Nashville. She is married to Cameron Spencer, and together they have one son, Heath Wallace Spencer. Their son, Graham Stephens, serves as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps and is currently stationed at Quantico, Virginia.

Outside the courtroom, Stephens operates a beef cattle farm in Monroe County.
